Profiles in Brazen Ingratitude: Emory University “Associate Professor of Law” Sara K. Stadler

Due to popular demand, I am taking out the trash this morning. Others have covered this story, but I prefer to make sure that all of the waste baskets have been emptied and that every garbage bag has been tied down - before I haul the trash can out to the curb. I have also sent “Professor” Stadler a link to this entry. Before you have a stroke, Sara, remember that you brought this thrashing upon yourself, leech.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3wyBNYwgnQ&feature=youtu.be&t=36m10s

Here is the video of Sara Stadler delivering the commencement address to the 2011 graduating class of Emory University. The speech starts at 36:10 and ends at 45:20 of the video. What nerve for a “law professor” - who makes her living by strapping down young people down with NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - to refer to students as “takers.”

http://www.abajournal.com/news/article/in_commencement_speech_law_prof_tells_grads_coveting_big-money_jobs_to_get_/

“Emory University law professor Sara Stadler thinks law grads need to stop coveting high-paying jobs that just aren’t available. And she said so in a commencement speech earlier this month.

"Get over it,” Stadler told law grads. “The one thing standing in the way of your happiness is a sense of entitlement." The Fulton County Daily Report covered the speech.

Stadler said many law grads don’t have jobs or didn’t get the job they wanted, and she wished she could change that, according to the story. But that doesn’t mean opportunities for happiness are lacking. "You might have to move to Nebraska,” Stadler said. “You might have to join a small firm where they don't make the big bucks.”

"You might also have to learn to be a giver, not a taker. Givers tend to be happy people. Takers are never satisfied. I want you to be satisfied with your professional lives. To look back later and say … look at the people I helped."
[Emphasis mine]

Listen, parasite: I lived in Des Moines, Iowa for three years. I am familiar with Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska. Why don’t YOU move out to that bug-infested hellhole, and lead by example, Sara?!?! By their fruits ye shall know them.

As far as I am concerned, you should be down on your knees kissing the feet of each of those graduates. They have taken on large sums of NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - so that YOU could make a nice living as a “law professor.” Is there an easier “job” on the planet?!?! Apparently, you did not have the stomach to stay in a real job.

WHY WOULD THESE STUDENTS HAVE ANY EXPECTATIONS?!?!

http://www.law.emory.edu/admission/admission-tuition.html

As you can tell, Emory charges $45,098 in tuition and fees – for the 2011-2012 school year. Furthermore, the school estimates that living expenses will add another $24,298 to the tab. This would bring the total cost of attendance – for one year – to $69,396. Keep in mind that these selfish, greedy pigs are only taking nine-month living expenses into account. Estimating living costs for twelve months would bring the total COA to $75,559. At this level, does it really matter?!

http://www.law.emory.edu/fileadmin/career_services/LYT_Revamp/Employment_Statistics_LYT/2009_Employment_Report_03-15-2011.pdf

Emory Law claims that it had a 93% employment placement rate, for its Class of 2009. Furthermore, the school asserts that 69.1% of this class was employed in law firms - with an AVERAGE STARTING SALARY of $116,155. This is listed under Information for Applicants.

http://www.law.emory.edu/fileadmin/career_services/LYT_Revamp/Employment_Statistics_LYT/Employment_Statistics_Class_of_2008_revised_2011.pdf

The school also stated that 95% of its Class of 2008 was employed within nine months of graduation - with 71.77% of respondents working in law firms. The average starting salary - for those in private firms - was listed as $124,615.

http://www.law.emory.edu/fileadmin/career_services/LYT_Revamp/Employment_Statistics_LYT/Employment_Statistics_Class_of_2007_revised_2011.pdf

For the Class of 2007, Emory Law claimed that 97% of these JDs were employed within nine months. The school also alleged that 65.31 percent of these grads were working in private law offices. The average starting salary for this group was (supposedly) $119,056.

http://www.law.emory.edu/fileadmin/career_services/LYT_Revamp/Employment_Statistics_LYT/Employment_Statistics_Class_of_2006_revised_2011.pdf

Finally, the Office of Career Services claims that 98% of its 2006 graduating class was employed within nine months of graduation, with 69.95% working in law firms. The average starting salary for such Emory lawyers was $104,230.

http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments//2009/580/566/2009-580566256-0662221a-9.pdf

Head over to page 65 of Emory University’s IRS Form 990. You will see that James Wagner, president of the university, made $1,077,514 in TOTAL COMPENSATION - for 2008. “Higher education” is BIG business, in this country.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+4

US “News“ & World Report shows that the average law student indebtedness - for members of the Emory JD Class of 2009 who incurred law school debt - was $99,236. Fully 81 percent of this class took on such debt.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+2

According to USN&WR, Emory operates the 30th best law school in the land. Keep in mind that the school dropped 8 spots from the last edition.

Sara, in light of all of the above information, do you see how Emory law students may have had some expectations of finding decent-paid legal employment?!?! Conversely, “law professors” feel entitled to make well into the six figures for teaching 4-6 hours per week, rehashing the same doctrinal drivel year after year. Like you, many of them did not practice law for much time. Why don’t you tell them not to expect such compensation?!

Wash Your Hands Thoroughly: Washburn University School of Law

A hot-ass associate asked me to profile this school, several weeks ago. After tearing down several other commodes - and bitch-slapping Bob Morse with a steel pipe - I can finally meet this request.

http://www.washburnlaw.edu/admissions/aboutus/affordable/costs/

Tuition: A Kansas resident attending this school on a full-time basis will be charged $16,560, for the 2010-2011 school year. An out-of-state, full-time law student will pay $25,830, for the same academic year.

Total Cost of Attendance: This same page lists the estimated total COA for a full-time Washburn Law student - who is a Kansas resident - at $33,667. The public commode states that this figure will reach $42,937, for full-time, non-resident law students. You can be certain that this school is only taking nine-month living expenses into account.

In fact, if you look at the text box in the middle of the page, you will see that the school lists room and board for the summer term. Adding the costs for room and board, personal costs, and transportation, we reach a more accurate, estimated COA of $40,752.50 for Kansas residents attending on a full-time basis; for full-time students who are not Kansas residents, this figure is $50,022.50. That is one hell of a deal, isn‘t it?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+6

Ranking: Here is the scenario: you have received an acceptance letter from this school - and perhaps some scholarship money. You are feeling great. Then, you remember that this school’s reputation is lower than dog excrement. According to US “News” & World Report, Wa$hburn Univer$iTTy Sewer of Law is the 140th greatest, most amazing and wonderful law school in the United States. These students are sure to set the world on fire, huh?!?! Don’t be a dumbass and attend this school, simply because all of the other schools denied your application.

http://www.washburnlaw.edu/career/profiles/

Alleged Employment Placement Rate: The school’s career planning office claims that 88% of its Class of 2010 was employed within 9 months of graduation. Yeah, sure it was - and Lauren Graham just spent the night, climbed on top of me, and massaged my balls afterward.

I suppose that the commode is likely including JDs working as customer service representatives at Blue Cross and Blue Cross of Kansas, managers at Dillons grocery stores, and real estate agents, in order to reach this figure. Notice that the school does not provide any starting salary info. Perhaps, they were too modest to list their graduates’ large incomes.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+6

Law Student Indebtedness: USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Washburn JD Class of 2010 who incurred debt for law school - at $80,488. By the way, 89 percent of the graduates from this unfortunate class took on such toxic debt. This figure does not take undergrad debt into account.

http://www.washburnedu.com/faculty_staff/compensation/FY09_salary_budget_files/fy09_salary_budget.html

Faculty and Administrator Salaries: Seeing that Washburn University is a public toilet, we are not going to find salary info on Guidestar. Scroll down to the Law Department at Washburn University to see how well the faculty is doing.

We can see that Dean Thomas Romig made $244,400 in fiscal year 2009. John Christensen, "director" of the law library, “earned” $157,494 for the same year. It must be difficult making sure that the students have access to Westlaw and Lexis accounts.

http://washburnlaw.edu/centers/children/familylawquarterly/

As a student at this world-famous “in$TTTiTTTuTTTion of higher learning,” you will have the unique opportunity to write onto Family Law Quarterly! Imagine how beautiful women will react, when they realize that you have this credential under your belt. Women will be so impressed with this achievement that they will decide to undo your belt - with their teeth. [Disclaimer: Actually, nothing of the sort will happen. Women will continue to date muscled, tanned men with charming personalities - while ignoring your pasty ass. The same goes for potential employers.]

http://www.washburnlaw.edu/admissions/aboutus/studentlife/profile/

As you can see, the school accepts students who earned pathetic 2.91 GPAs, in their undergraduate work. By the way, such low UGPA scores show that these people will not have the work ethic or intelligence to excel in law school - even at a third tier turd such as Washburn SOL. Could you imagine medical schools taken in such cretins?!

Conclusion: Washburn University Sewer of Law provides its students with TTT job prospects. Ask yourself the following: if you were a Kansas law firm or non-law employer, would you rather hire a JD from the University of Kansas or one from something called Washburn University?!

In the final analysis, you do not need to take out an additional $80K-$110K - in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - for the privilege of sitting for a bar exam. Keep in mind, that in three years from now, you will likely be graduating with no job lined up. If you want to impress your family, then send me $10K. By doing so, you can tell your friends and relatives that I tossed your ass out of a window. In the process, you will have saved tons of money, and not pissed away three years of your life.

Putrid, Moist Fecal Matter: University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law

http://www.mcgeorge.edu/x805.xml

Tuition: A full-time student at this “prestigious” law school will be charged $39,916 in tuition - for the 2010-2011 school year. Those attending McGeorge on a part-time basis will only need to pay $26,530, for the same academic year.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+5

Ranking: The cost of attendance is steep. Certainly, the school’s sterling reputation will justify this expense, right?!?! Well, according to the rag known as US “News” & World Report, this commode is the 100th best law school in the United States. It shares this distinction with the following trash pits: Syracuse University, University of Louisville, and the University of San Francisco.

http://www.mcgeorge.edu/Documents/career_services/Class_of_2008_REVISED_Statistics.pdf

Supposed Employment Placement and Starting Salary Figures: As you can see, the commode claims that 89.76% of the members - of its Class of 2008 - was employed within nine months of graduation. However, only 76.7 of this particular graduating class was employed in jobs “requiring bar passage.” This figure also takes part-time positions into account. Yes, these results are definitely worth $39,916 in annual tuition, right?!?!

Furthermore, this stench pit asserts that the average starting salaries for 2008 Pacific JDs working in law firms was $76,561. Keep in mind that out of the 270 respondents who reported being employed, only 134 reported salary info. Who knows? Perhaps they were too embarrassed to report that they were rolling in cash, driving Maseratis and dating models. This particular graduating class had 301 members. Apparently, the faculty pigs feel that California does not have enough lawyers.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings

Average Law Student Indebtedness: For all of this commode’s shortcomings, at least the school is first tier when it comes to average law student indebtedness! In fact, the school is the tenth best at strapping down its law graduates with NON-DISCHARGEABLE, soul-crushing debt. This is a sure sign of a greaTT in$TTiTTuTTion, isn’t it?

USN&WR lists the average student indebtedness of 2010 McGeorge graduates who incurred law school debt as $128,495. Only 84% of this poor, unfortunate graduating class took on such toxic debt. For those who have severe learning disabilities, this figure does not consider student debt from undergrad.

http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments/2009/941/156/2009-941156266-05f8345d-9.pdf

Faculty and Administrator Pay: We will head over to page 40 of The University of the Pacific’s 2009 Form 990, to see how well these academics are doing - at the expense of the students’ future.

Glenn Fait, law lecturer and Director of the Institute for Administrative Justice, made $250,134 in TOTAL COMPENSATION - for 2008. Jean Purnell, previously listed as dean of the McGeorge Sewer of Law since July 2002, received $200,551 in TOTAL COMPENSATION, in 2008.  According to her, she has never been a member of the law faculty.  Apparently, the school was confused about her role.

http://pacific.lawschoolnumbers.com/

Generosity of the School: According to Law School Numbers, McGeorge $chool of Law awarded full tuition scholarships to 1% of its students in 2005-2006, while providing half-tuition offers to 5.8% of its customers. In addition, 0.4% of these students reveived full-tuition scholarships plus a stipend. By the way, LSN shows that the University of the Pacific had a total JD enrollment of 1,001 students - in 2006-2007.

http://www.mcgeorge.edu/Research_Centers_and_Institutes/Global_Center_for_Business_and_Development_Home.htm

Global Center for Business & Development: Check out this comic material:

“The Pacific McGeorge Global Center for Business & Development pursues educational, scholarly and practical initiatives addressing the interface between the global economy and the legal profession. The efforts of the Center are a principal reason why the international law program at Pacific McGeorge is recognized as the #15 top international law program in the United States.”
So, you want to contribute to the outsourcing and off-shoring of more legal jobs, huh?! By the way, who gives a damn that McGeorge is (allegedly) seen as a “top 15” international law program in the U.S.? These students will NOT be practicing “international law,” consulting the United Nations, drafting treaties, or advising any of the puppets occupying the oval office.

Conclusion: This commode - located in Sacramento, California - charges obscene tuition, for a shoddy product. In addition, JDs from this school cannot hope to compete against their counterparts at Stanford and Cal-Berkeley. In fact, as this toilet’s employment chart shows, these kids are not in the same league. This swamp pit produces HUGE graduating classes, further saturating the FLOODED California lawyer job market.
Why in the hell would you take on $130K-$160K in additional, NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - for the opportunity to earn $40K-$70K? If your goal is to become a public defender or small-time lawyer, you DO NOT NEED to take out monstrous levels in student loans. This school presents itself as a leader and innovator in “legal education.” If you truly want to practice law, then you should be able to see through this institution’s silly nonsense.

Grab a Plumber’s Snake: Gonzaga University School of Law

http://www.law.gonzaga.edu/admissions/financial_aid_and_scholarships/Tuition-and-fees/default.asp

Tuition: For $ome rea$on, these bitches list tuition for each credit hour. The price is $1132 per credit. Seeing that a full-time law student will take 30 credits, over the course of a school year, we can determine that full-time JD tuition at Gonzaga Univer$iTTTy will amount to $33,960 for one year.

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+5

Ranking: Sure, the cost is a little steep. But surely the school’s amazing reputation in the legal community will justify the price of admission, right?!?! (If you don’t want your dreams shattered by reality, then look away right now.) US “News” & World Report rates this commode as the 121st greatest, most phenomenal law school in the land. It shares this distinction with the following five toilets: CUNY, Howard, Maine, Southwestern, and Wayne $TTTaTTTe. I’m sure that the parents of these lemmings must be brimming with pride. Why shouldn’t they be proud? After all, only 120 law schools are ranked ahead of Gonzaga.

http://gonzaga.lawschoolnumbers.com/

Employment and Starting Salary Statistics: Since the dung heap refuses to provide a link to its Class of 2010 employment placement data, we will look at info from Law School Numbers. As you can see, 86.1% of Gonzaga’s JD Class of 2005 was alegedly employed, within nine months of graduation. Keep in mind that this counts those who are working in positions that do not require a law degree.

Furthermore, the school awarded full-tuition scholarships to 0.00% of its students – for 2005-2006. However, these good Chri$tian$ did offer half-tuition scholarships to 7.1 percent of its customers. This page also shows that, in 2007-2008, a total of NINE law firms participated in OCI. This shows that the school cannot produce results. They cannot even attract law firms to the campus!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/grad-debt-rankings/page+4

Average Law Student Indebtedness: USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Gonzaga JD Class of 2010 who incurred law school debt - as $100,092. Furthermore, 99% of the members of this toilet’s 2010 graduating class took on such toxic debt. That is correct – NINETY-NINE PERCENT!!

http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments/2009/910/236/2009-910236600-05eba9e9-9.pdf

Faculty and Administrator Pay: We will head over to page of the Corporation of Gonzaga University’s 2009 IRS Form 990, to see how well these pigs are making out on the federal teat.

Dean Earl F. Martin “earned” $258,862 in TOTAL COMPENSATION - for 2008. Yes, Earl made $196,499 in base compensation; $50 in bonus & incentive compensation; $25,745 in “other” compensation; $19,407 in deferred compensation; and $17,161 in nontaxable benefits. Hell, the law school’s dean made more money than the university president. In addition, “adjunct professor” Michael Casey made $151,055 in TOTAL COMPENSATION - for the same tax year.

http://www.law.gonzaga.edu/Academic+Program/academics/Law-Reviews/journal_of_international_law/default.asp

As a student at this third tier festering commode, you will have the unique opportunity to write onto the Gonzaga Journal of International Law. This will set you apart from your fellow job seekers. After all, legal and non-law employers love seeing that graduates have spent countless hours learning how to correctly cite article submissions for a secondary journal, right?!?!

http://www.law.gonzaga.edu/faculty/dean_search/law_mission.asp

The school’s mission statement reads:

“To provide an excellent legal education informed by our humanistic, Jesuit, and Catholic traditions and values.”

Apparently, charging students $33,960 per year for a third-tier, third-rate “legal education” is enlightened by humanistic ideals. Furthermore, pumping out graduates - MANY of whom will never practice law - with $100K+ in additional NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - is instructed by Catholic traditions?!?!

I understand that the corrupt and morally bankrupt corporation known as the Roman Catholic Church employed torture chambers during The Inquisition. In addition, the Catholic Church also permitted its bishops to sexually abuse children, for decades. Yet, people still belong to this dung heap of a religion. In light of that, it should be no surprise that people are willing to pay $33,960 per year in TTTuiTTTion.

Conclusion: Gonzaga University Sewer of Law is a joke. Attending this waste pile will not result in a better life. Unless, of course, you think that practicing toiletlaw is worth taking out $100K-$140K to attend this dump. A law degree from this third tier waste pile will not open more doors for you. Sure, the school has an “innovative” curriculum - and touts its International Law program. Guess what? YOU will not be practicing “international law.”

Instead, you will be lucky to land a job related to law. If you do practice law, you will more than likely have the distinct honor of defending drunk drivers, and chasing down clients for payment. That seems adventurous, doesn’t it?! Actually, it strikes one as hell on earth. Perhaps you can look forward to representing minor league scam artists in slip and fall cases. Maybe you would prefer to help lazy bastards receive SSDI. If you go into Worker’s Comp, please make sure that your “severely mentally injured” client is not caught shooting 18 holes of golf.

Open Letter to the Graduating JD Class of 2011

Welcome to Hell

In a few short days, MANY of you will be graduating with no job lined up. What a great reward for spending three years of your life on this “educational” endeavor, right?!?! Your law school experience will soon come to an end. You will wear your stupid little JD gown, and walk for your diploma. Think of the priceless memories you will gain, from attending this ceremony.

Classmates will be filled with despair and anxiety. (This is in stark contrast to how they felt when they received their acceptance letters to law school. Remember the exaltation, i.e. “I am going to use my degree to help people, and increase my profile”?!) If you don’t recall how excited how you were when you opened that thick packet, then check out how thrilled this stupid bitch was about starting law school:

http://adamkaduce-drake.blogspot.com/2009/05/game-plan-for-summer.html

You will overhear magna cum laude grads talking, in hushed tones, about their insurance defense law job – which will pay a grand total of $44K per year. Many of those who excelled academically will have nothing lined up! Of course, some delusional douche-bags will talk about maybe having an (unpaid) internship with a local traffic court judge. Congratulations. High school kids with part-time jobs make more money than that. You will notice that most of your classmates – and perhaps yourself – have seemed to age ten years in roughly the last 1,000 days.

http://www.alipryor.com/

Of course, ignorant, idiotic family members will record your walk of shame for posterity. In their minds, you have accomplished something of magnitude. Because pissing away three years of your life – plus taking out huge sums of NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, and learning meaningless drivel – is a tremendous feat, huh?!?! Try to refrain from beating these people to death with a meat cleaver.

The Job Market

http://abovethelaw.com/2009/09/disturbing-message-about-the-legal-job-market-from-columbia-law-school/

On September 23, 2009, Elie Mystal informed his readers that Columbia Law – the fourth best law school in the land – asked its students to attend the UNDERGRAD job fair.

http://abovethelaw.com/2010/06/we-knew-this-was-going-to-happen-michigan-encourages-law-grads-to-go-to-india/

On June 25, 2010, ATL reported that then ninth-ranked University of Michigan Law School was encouraging its grads to work for legal processes outsourcer Pangea3. Yes, that is a great indicator of how well the legal job market is doing, isn’t it?!

http://abovethelaw.com/2011/03/law-students-at-a-top-school-protest-continued-unemployment/

On March 29, 2011, Elie Mystal wrote an article about unemployed graduating UVA law students talking to prospective law students while wearing T-shirts that read: "Virginia Law $40,000 a year and NO JOB”. In case, you were wondering, UVA Law is rated as the 9th best law school in the country, according to US “News” & World Report.

If students at these elite law schools are struggling to find legal employment, how will you fare in the job market?!?!

Casting Blame

Moist farts such as Robert Ackerman feel that today’s generation of law students expects to land $160K per year jobs right out of law school. ($omehow, “law professors” feel entitled to make six figures, by teaching archaic legal doctrine, for 4-6 hours per week.) Of course, when Ass-Clown went to law school, a person could pay for much of his “legal education” by working part-time. In light of skyrocketing tuition over the past 10-30 years, this is NOT an option for today’s student. Perhaps, Ackerman can grow some gonads and assign fault where it lies – with the corrupt organization known as the American Bar Association.

http://www.aapipara.org/File/Main%20Page/ABA%20Outsourcing%20Opinion.pdf

On August 5, 2008, the ABA’s Standing Committee on “Ethics” and “Professional Responsibility” issued “Ethics” Opinion 08-451. This allowed U.S. law firms to hire foreign lawyers and non-lawyers to engage in American legal discovery. Yes, the ABA is definitely looking out for its members, right?!?! Doc review is not the practice of law, but it did allow JDs in this country to put food in the fridge – and pay for a roof over their heads. Apparently, the ABA pigs were against this stream of income. At least, the piece of filth who chaired the committee died at the tender age of 53 – after scarfing down a business lunch. It couldn’t have happened to a better bastard.

http://nalp.org/uploads/NatlSummaryChartClassof09.pdf

Furthermore, one can see that ABA-accredited law school continue to produce FAR TOO MANY graduates than the market can bear. NALP reported that the JD Class of 2009 had 44,000 members – competing for 28,901 jobs requiring bar passage. In addition, 10.3 percent of these positions were part-time, while 24.9% of reported jobs were short-term. Could you imagine the American Medical Association or American Dental Association pumping out such an excess of graduates each year?!?!

http://www.tnr.com/article/87251/law-school-employment-harvard-yale-georgetown

Even “law professors” are acknowledging that law schools COMPLETELY MISREPRESENT their employment figures. Law schools have no reservations about counting JDs stocking shelves at Home Depot - or those working as temporary research assistants - as “employed.” Paul Campos, who teaches law at the University of Colorado, states the following:

“Many law schools all but explicitly promise that, within a few months of graduation, practically all their graduates will obtain jobs as lawyers, by trumpeting employment figures of 95 percent, 97 percent, and even 99.8 percent. The truth is that less than half will.”

In the final analysis, you were sold a bill of goods. The fact remains that law schools do not give one damn what happens to you, upon graduation. If you cannot find a job, the thieves known as “law professors” will blame you, i.e. “You didn’t work hard enough” or “You aren’t entitled to a $160K job.” The faculty is paid up front, in full – via federally-backed student loans. You, the student and graduate, will be stuck re-paying that amount, plus interest.

Third Tier Diarrhea: Robert Morse, Director of “Data Research” at US News & World Report

Have you ever flushed a pile of waste down the commode, just to see a little nugget of excrement float to the top? Perhaps, you have walked into a public restroom stall – after someone left a mess in the bowl. Some inconsiderate pig decided that it would be cool to leave his waste for the next person – and now you must hold your nose and flush. (In many cases, it is better to walk away and put this nightmare out of your mind.) In essence, US News & World Report left a foul substance in the commode.

http://thirdtierreality.blogspot.com/2011/02/profiles-in-testicular-atrophy-bob.html

As you can see, I pushed the handle on this bitch back on February 25, 2011.

http://thirdtierreality.blogspot.com/2011/03/taking-ball-shrinkage-disorder-to.html

The cockroach re-surfaced and I had to flush his ass down the toilet again on March 20, 2011. This is one stubborn piece of waste, huh?! This being the case, it has made yet another appearance. David Segal, the NYT reporter who wrote “Is Law School a Losing Game?,” follows up that effort with a look at the merit-based scholarship scam. On page 5, Segal quotes the waste pile:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/01/business/law-school-grants.html?pagewanted=5&_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss

“Why is merit scholarship retention not part of the U.S. News data haul? “The main reason is that we haven’t thought about it,” said Robert Morse, who oversees the rankings. “It’s not a great answer, but it’s an honest answer.”

Then Mr. Morse thought about it.

“This isn’t meant to be sarcastic,” he said, “but these students are going to law school and they need to learn to read the fine print.” [Emphasis mine]

Hey, Pussy Boy Morse. This isn’t meant to be sarcastic, but you truly are a piece of trash, and a tool of the “higher education” industry. You do not care about the fact that law schools manipulate their employment placement rates and starting salary figures. In fact, you claimed that schools provide accurate info to your rag. (We are not talking about the one you place and remove from between your legs, Bob.) I’ll bet you sleep like a baby at night, knowing that you play a role in students becoming financially crippled by NON-DISCHARGEABLE student debt.

By the way, thanks for taking up space on this blog, ass-clown. I have other schools to profile. Seeing that you keep floating to the rim, I have decided to take out a plunger and shove your face and ass down the commode. (Perhaps, the problem is that Robert Morse is a used tampon.)

http://www.usnews.com/mobile/blogs/college-rankings-blog/2011/3/9/us-news-urges-law-school-deans-to-improve-employment-data.html

As of March 13, 2011, Brian Kelly, Editor of US News, was urging law schools to furnish better employment data. Yet, Pussy Bob Morse, as recently as December 29, 2010, moronically claimed that law schools were providing accurate data to his magazine.

http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/college-rankings-blog/2010/12/29/law-schools-report-accurate-data-to-us-news?s_cid=rss:college-rankings-blog:law-schools-report-accurate-data-to-us-news

The duplicitous Robert Morse, in his own words:

The fact that Professor Bell was able to duplicate our methodology by using law school data he obtained directly from the ABA proves that the U.S. News rankings process is very transparent and can be duplicated using publicly available data. This exercise also establishes that U.S. News is calculating and weighting the ranking variables as stated in the posted methodology. Users of our law school rankings can be confident that the results are correct given the weights and rankings variables that U.S. News has chosen.” [Emphasis mine]

Too bad, Segal’s January 8, 2011 piece blew this arrogant turd out of the (toilet) water. Hey, moron. Simply because the schools reported the same info to the ABA and US News - making it possible for a “law professor” to duplicate your rankings - DOES NOT mean that your methodology is correct! Let’s try to employ some logic here, Pussy Boy. (Try not to have a stroke in the process, bitch.) If a husband is beating the hell out of his wife - but tells everyone that he is not doing so, and everyone takes him at his word – does this mean that he is not abusing his spouse?!?!

http://www.usnews.com/education/blogs/college-rankings-blog/2011/03/17/aba-may-revise-law-school-job-reporting

“The new standards would also require law schools to report many different employment rates based on disaggregated data that would separate out full-time and part-time jobs where bar passage is required and a J.D. is preferred; other professional and non-professional jobs; and whether the job is law-school funded. This would be in sharp contrast to the one aggregated employment rate for both full and part-time legal and non-legal jobs that is currently used. It would also require schools to report salary data by many job types, which would be more detailed than the one overall salary figure for private and public sector jobs that is currently available.” [Emphasis mine]

If the schools were already furnishing solid and accurate data, why was there a need for the ABA to request that they provide better reporting on placement rates, Vagina Bob?!?!

http://leiterlawschool.typepad.com/leiter/2011/03/an-open-letter.html

Brian Leiter, “law professor” at the University of Chicago, also flushed this piece of trash down the drain:

“[US News] combines too many factors, in an inexplicable formula, and much of the underlying data isn't reliable, and some of it (e.g., expenditures on secretarial salaries and electriciy) isn't even relevant. You all know this. So don't report it. The fact that this garbage appears in what used to be a major 'news' magazine doesn't change the fact that it is garbage.”

In the final analysis, Robert Morse is a despicable pile of excrement. If he had ANY integrity - one scintilla of honor or decency - Morse would stand up and state, "These rankings are pure nonsense. We pulled them out of our ass, under the guise of scientific research and data collection. The fact is some graduates from top 10 law schools cannot find legal jobs. Do you think you will have a shot in hell of landing such a position, coming out of the 141st ranked law school in the country?"

Suffocating Stench Pile: Second Tier Santa Clara University School of Law

http://law.scu.edu/financialaid/index.cfm

Tuition: A full time Santa Clara University law student will be charged $41,790, in tuition, for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year. This Je$uit school is nice enough to charge part-time law students a mere $29,524 for the same school year.

Total Cost of Attendance: The school estimates that the total COA – for 2011-2012 – will amount to $63,746. Of course, these bitches are only taking nine-month living expenses into account. Taking twelve month room and board, transportation and personal expenses into account, a more accurate estimate would be $70,375. That sounds like one hell of a bargain, right?!?!

http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-law-schools/law-rankings/page+4

Ranking: US News rates this prestigious, illustrious institution of “higher learning” as the 84th most splendid and amazing law school in the land. It shares this “unique” honor with ten other commodes, i.e. DePaul, Hofstra, LSU, Rutgers-Camden, Rutgers-Newark, Seattle University, SUNY-Buffalo, Arkansas-Fayetteville, Nebraska, and Vanillanova. My guess is that Vagina Bob Morse did not want to offend any of these schools by ranking them 87th or 91st best law school.

http://law.scu.edu/careers/employment-data-2010.cfm

Employment and Starting Salary Figures: According to the school, 78% of its Class of 2010 was employed within nine months of graduation. (You will notice that “Career Services” claims that 19% of the class is not seeking work. They incurred law school debt, but are not looking for employment, huh?!?!) $omehow, fourth tier trash cans are still claiming 97% job placement.

“The challenging job market has generated many questions about whether and how new attorneys get jobs, as well as how students can prepare to get the legal career they want.”

These desperate swindlers are blaming their low “placement rate” on the economy. Perhaps, these apologists should read the following entry, by law professor Brian Tamanaha, of Washington University in St. Louis.

http://balkin.blogspot.com/2010/06/wake-up-fellow-law-professors-to.html

This dismal situation was not created by the current recession—which merely spread the pain up the chain into the lower reaches of elite schools. This has been going on for years.” [Emphasis mine]

Average Law Student Indebtedness: US News lists the average law student indebtedness - for those poor fools from the $anTTa Clara JD Class of 2010 who incurred law school debt - as $106,869. Furthermore, 83% of the members of this Christian commode’s 2010 graduating class took on such debt.

http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocuments/2009/941/156/2009-941156617-05fa1082-9.pdf

Faculty and Administrator Salaries: On pages 18 and 19 of Santa Clara University’s 2009 IRS Form 990, we can take a look at how well the pigs are making out, on the federal teat. Dean Donald Polden made a tidy sum of $294,812 in TOTAL COMPENSATION - for 2008. Yes, Donald made $253,483 in reportable compensation from the organization, plus $41,329 in estimated amount of other compensation from the organization and related organizations.

Polden was not the only “law professor” to make a killing that year. Too bad it came at the expense of his students’ futures. Patricia Ann Cain raked in $268,289 in TOTAL COMPENSATION. Her school bio states that she is an expert in something called “sexuality and the law.” Hopefully, she recognizes that she is assisting in the financial rape of her students. Jean Love “earned” $272,988 in TOTAL COMPENSATION, for 2008.

As a student at this “elite” institution, you have the opportunity to writing onto the sacred Santa Clara Computer & High Technology Law Journal. What a privilege and distinguished honor, right?!?! If you become a student editor, brace yourself for an avalanche of high-paying job offers. By avalanche, I meant paucity of any job offers.

http://law.scu.edu/academics/jdmba.cfm

You can also enter the combined JD/MBA program. After all, who wouldn’t want to hire someone with two TT advanced degrees?!?!

Conclusion: This overpriced piece of trash produces large graduating classes into the already GLUTTED California legal job market. That would strike a reasonable person as irresponsible. The Santa Clara JD Class of 2010 had 306 graduates. If you are a student at this toilet, have fun competing for legal jobs with graduates from the following real law schools: Stanford, Cal-Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UC Davis, et al.

The fact that this Jesuit school can turn out graduates with $110K+ in law school loans shows that this school is a profit center. This pig sty then has the nerve to state that it is “dedicated to educating lawyers who lead with a commitment to excellence, ethics and social justice.” Try making a living under those pillars - while buried in a mountain of NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt.
