ABA-Accredited Toilets Now Relying on Non-JD Students, to Make Up for Lost Revenue

Can You Smell the Desperation?:

On December 21, 2012, the National Law Journal published a Karen Sloan piece entitled “Non-J.D. candidates easing the strain on law schools.” Take a look at this opening:

“Interest in juris doctor degrees has waned during the past two years, but the news for law schools isn't all bad: The number of students in non-J.D. programs has increased by 39 percent since 2005, according to figures released on December 21 by the American Bar Association.

By contrast, the number of first-year students enrolled in J.D. programs fell by 8 percent during that same period. ABA-accredited law schools this year enrolled 11,067 non-J.D. students—representing approximately one-quarter of the 44,518 first-year J.D. students. [Emphasis mine]

But law schools are concerned about their students’ futures, right?!?! If you believe that, and you wish to remain willfully ignorant, then skip over Sloan’s conclusion:

“Schools have financial incentives to expand their LL.M. offerings, since those students often take empty seats in existing classes.

"Law schools see a demand for non-J.D. programs both for lawyers who want to develop expertise through an LL.M. and in business and professional communities where knowledge of the relevant law and process is valuable," said Barry Currier, the ABA's interim consultant on legal education. "As the demand for J.D. degrees slackens, schools are exploring other ways to broaden their revenue base."

The ABA does not accredit non-J.D. programs, but does require that they not impede a law school's ability to ensure that its J.D. program meets all the accreditation standards.” [Emphasis mine]

The dung beetles are FULLY AWARE of the glutted, U.S. lawyer job market. They also realize that LLM programs in Space Law and Agricultural Law are not going to help the typical grad find legal work. Yet, the ABA cockroaches continue to increase non-JD enrollment - due to the money that goes into the academic thieves’ pockets.

The ABA Proudly Reports This TTT Development:

Take a look at the following excerpt from pigs’ press release, which was labeled “ABA Legal Education Section Reports Preliminary Data on Non-J.D. Enrollment Growth, 2000-2012”:

“Enrollment in non-J.D. programs at American Bar Association-approved law schools has increased markedly since 2000, partly offsetting declines in J.D. enrollment during the same period, according to preliminary data released today by the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar.

ABA-approved law schools reported a 39 percent increase in enrollment in non-J.D. programs from 2005 to 2012 and a 52 percent increase from 2000 to 2012, according to data provided to the section.”

News flash: Law grads are enrolling into these LLM programs in larger numbers, because legions cannot find legal work with their JD. Of course, the ABA-accredited moral cesspools are happy to exploit these students further - by offering them more "education" at a big-ass price.  Isn't it nice to see that the criminal cartel has a Division for Media Relations & “Communication Services.” The bitches and hags like to spin the news.

NE$L Dean: “Law Schools Are Like Other Businesses”:

On August 4, 2012, Jeff Manning posted an Oregonian piece entitled "Law schools revenues soar as they take in millions from tuition and fees, as supply exceeds demand."  Focus on the following portion, which gives you real insight into the law school devils' mindset:

“John O'Brien, dean of the New England School of Law and chair of the ABA's legal accreditation committee, agreed the new schools are adding to a significant oversupply of lawyers. But the supply-demand imbalance is not a factor the ABA considers.

"It's not the ABA's job to police the number of law schools," O'Brien said. "Law schools are like other businesses. Ultimately, that's what they are. If there are people who feel there is a void that needs to be filled around the country, the process is to apply for ABA approval. If you meet those standards, you get approved." [Emphasis mine]

Yes, the pile of human waste known as John O’Brien told the Oregonian that law schools are businesses. We have known this for some time, but it is nice to see one of the perpetrators admit to this reality. For $ome rea$on, the law school pigs do not give a damn about their consumers.

Conclusion: The American Bar Association is a cartel of cockroaches and morally bankrupt pigs. These bastards do not give one damn about law students. Crackheads have a higher sense of ethics than these rats. The schools are happy to financially ruin legions of young, educated people each year.

In the final analysis, law schools are run for the benefit of “professors” - not the students. Law school administrators and tenured faculty are paid very handsomely for minimal “work.” Now that fewer people are applying to, and enrolling in, JD programs, the filthy pigs are using this as an opportunity to enroll thousands of students who will not affect their overall ranking. LSAT scores and undergrad GPAs are not a factor, with these willing victims. Furthermore, the toilets do not need to worry about furnishing employment placement data, for these graduates.  Keep plugging holes on a sinking ship, law school cockroaches.

Seton Hall University Sewer of Law: the Trash Pit That Keeps on Giving

SeTTon Haul to Provide Tuition for Certain Students:

Take a look at the commode’s press release labeled “SETON HALL UNIVERSITY TO EXTEND TUITION REDUCTION INITIATIVE TO LAW SCHOOL.”  Try not to laugh when you read this excerpt:

“Seton Hall University has announced that it will extend its widely acclaimed merit-based tuition reduction program to its School of Law, reducing tuition by over 50% for eligible students. The tuition cuts for undergraduate students at Seton Hall University went into effect in 2012 and were recently extended for the 2013-14 academic year. The University will now extend the program further, offering “a private legal education at a public school price” to eligible incoming students at Seton Hall Law School, the only private law school in New Jersey.

Dr. Gabriel Esteban, President of Seton Hall University, said “Similar to the program for undergraduate study, this initiative reflects Seton Hall’s commitment to serving our community. It provides access to a high-quality private education at a cost comparable to a public institution.”

For eligible incoming full-time first-year students, tuition at Seton Hall Law School will be reduced in the 2013-14 academic year to $22,330.

“The legal industry is undergoing substantial change,” said Patrick E. Hobbs, Law School Dean, “and for those who choose law, we have a duty to respond in a meaningful way – making legal education more practice oriented and employment focused as well as more affordable. Our Legal Practice Curriculum, numerous clinics, pro bono programs and comprehensive intern and externship programs address the first concerns; this tuition cut will help to answer the next, making Seton Hall Law School more affordable for those who wish to attend.” [Emphasis mine]

Patrick Hobbs/Ass-Clown: If the toilet is truly concerned with making tuition “affordable”, then why not provide this tuition rate to all Seton Hall law students?!?! This is a mere public relations.  Later on, the release contains the criteria:

“Program specifics include the following:

 To qualify for this tuition discount, students must have an LSAT score of 158 and higher and an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher;
 Students who apply to Seton Hall Law and meet the academic criteria will automatically receive this tuition rate reduction;
 Open to first-time, first-year full-time or part-time students entering Seton Hall Law in Fall 2013;
 This program is open to students from all states; and
 Students may also be eligible for additional merit and/or need-based financial aid.”

Requirements for Qualifying for the Commode’s “Tuition Reduction Program”:

Check out the following, partial criteria, for the commode’s Tuition Reduction Program:

 Open to first-time first-year full-time or part-time students entering Seton Hall Law in Fall 2013 (does not apply to transfer students). Students may not defer admission.
 The tuition credit is based on Rutgers Law-Newark 2012-2013 in-state tuition rate for full-time students ($22,746) and part-time students ($20,856 – up to 11 credits, flat fee).
Students who matriculate under this program as incoming full-time students, will remain eligible for this tuition rate reduction for up to 3 years (6 semesters), provided that the student maintains a 2.80 cumulative GPA or remains in the top 75% of the class (whichever is more favorable to the student), and maintains continuous full time enrollment. GPA standards will be reviewed once per year - at the end of the Spring semester, annually.” [Emphasis mine]

Other Coverage of This TTT Development:

Paul Campos blasted the pigs, with his December 19, 2012 entry entitled “Hurry, quantities are limited.” Look at his conclusion:

“A 158 LSAT and a 3.5 GPA are the current 1L class medians, so in other words current applicants who simply hit both of last year's medians automatically receive a 53% discount off sticker tuition ($47,330). Sticker cost of attendance is a startling $69,916 per year. (Fully debt financing a Seton Hall law degree will, assuming annual 3.5% increases in COA, produce a debt load at repayment of $259,299).

I think it's fair to say that at this point prospective law school applicants should treat sticker tuition prices as they might treat the advertised price of a collection of ABBA CDs at a yard sale.”

Full Tuition Rate for 2012-2013: Full-time law students at SHU will be slammed with a gigantic tuition bill of $47,330 – for 2012-2013. Notice the trash heap’s spin, i.e. “Tuition at Seton Hall School of Law is competitive with most of the major metropolitan law schools in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.”

Ranking: According to US “News” & World Report, $eTTon Hall Univer$iTTy Sewer of Law is rated as the 69th greatest, most magnificent and amazing law school in the entire land. Yay! What an accomplishment, right?!?!

Average Law Student Indebtedness: US “News” lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Seton Haul JD Class of 2011 who incurred debt for law school - as $113,100. By the way, 83 percent of this toilet’s 2011 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that these figures do not include interest that accrues on the outstanding balance, while the student is enrolled in school.

Conclusion: In the final analysis, this is nothing more than a marketing campaign. The swine who operate Seton Hall University Sewer of Law realize that they need to attract more victims/students - in the midst of fewer overall law school applicants. Apparently, many potential students are starting to understand that paying $47,330 in annual tuition - to attend a second tier sewage pit - is a bad financial decision. The school is desperate to put asses in its seats.  Of course, the swine are putting a positive spin on this situation.  Hell, this PR stunt may persuade some with high LSAT scores to apply or enroll at the pile of rat droppings.  Perhaps, the toilet will soon furnish its first year students with a Wii and free movie tickets.

The Law School Pigs Become Less Selective, as Applications Continue to Drop!

Number of Applicants Dropped by 13.7 Percent in 2012:

Check out the LSAC “Volume Summary” chart above. The number of applicants to ABA-accredited diploma mills continues to drop. According to this graph, in 2003 and 2004, these law schools were collectively more selective. In 2003, applications increased by 9.5%, from the prior year, while first year enrollment only increased by 0.9 percent. Then in 2004, applications rose by 1.1%, but first year enrollment actually decreased by 1.3 percent.

Starting in the Fall of 2005, ABA law schools became less selective in terms of their admission, i.e. the commodes admitted and enrolled a higher percentage of applicants. Here are some examples: In Fall 2007, there were 5.2% less applicants than the year before. Yet, $omehow, the cash cows increased first year enrollment by 1.3 percent. In 2011, law school applicants decreased by 10.7 percent. For $ome rea$on, first year enrollment only dropped by 7.2 percent.

Regarding this data, Paul Campos posted an epic entry labeled “Endgame” – on December 14, 2012. This portion came from his killer opening:

“[T]he percentage of applicants being admitted to at least one school has been rising for several years now:

2004: 55.6%
2005: 58.6%
2006: 63.1%
2007: 66.1%
2008: 66.5%
2009: 67.4%
2010: 68.7%
2011: 71.1%

In other words, law school applicants were 27.9% more likely to be admitted to at least one school in 2011 than they had been seven years earlier. We don’t have numbers yet for how many 2012 applicants were admitted to at least one school, but since the number of applicants fell by 13.7%, while the number of new 1Ls fell by only 8.6%, it seems certain that the upward trend in percentage of applicants admitted continued. [Emphasis mine]

Campos concludes by stating that he expects high-ranked law schools to rely more heavily on transfer students, since their ratings will not be affected by lower UGPA and LSAT scores. Plus, the schools still want to get their hooves and snouts on that federal student loan teat.

Yet, Overall First Year Enrollment Only Decreased by Nine Percent:

On November 28, 2012, the ABA Journal published a piece from Debra Cassens Weiss, under the header “1L Enrollment Dropped at Three-Fourths of Accredited Law Schools This Year, Preliminary Stats Show.”  Read the following segment:

“About three-fourths of 201 ABA-accredited law schools had declines in first-year enrollment this fall, according to preliminary statistics from the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar.

Ninety of the 149 schools with lower enrollment had declines of 10 percent or more, according to a press release. Forty-eight schools, on the other hand, had an increase in enrollment, and at eight of those schools the increase was up 10 percent or more.

The decrease in first-year enrollment represents a drop of 9 percent from the fall of 2011 and a drop of about 15 percent from historic highs in 2010. Overall, 44,481 full-time and part-time students began their legal studies this fall, compared to 52,488 in the fall of 2010.” [Emphasis mine]

You can see how these “educators” operate their scam. When there are fewer applicants, the pigs become less selective in their admi$$ion$ proce$$. This is quite telling, since many law schools – for years - have been admitting applicants with 2.9 UGPAs and 148 LSAT scores. Hell, middle school chess clubs and prostitutes are more selective in who they admit.

Good News – the Number of Applicants Continues to Drop:

Check out the graph, and the following excerpt, from LSAC’s “Three-Year ABA Volume Comparison”:

“As of 12/07/12, there are 106,608 Fall 2013 applications submitted by 16,241 applicants. Applicants are down 22.4% and applications are down 24.6% from 2012.”

At this rate, we are going to start seeing some ABA-accredited commodes accept drooling idiots with 2.3 undergrad GPAs and 137 LSAT scores. To paraphrase the legendary George Carlin, maybe they will only need a goddamn pencil to get into law school.

Conclusion: The fact that the law school pigs are accepting a higher percentage of applicants – from a dwindling pool of lemmings – FURTHER PROVES that these bastards DO NOT GIVE ONE DAMN ABOUT YOU, the student. Real professional schools limit entry to the field, early in the process, well before the student ends up incurring monstrous levels of additional, NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt. In contrast, the law school swine are paid handsomely for minimal “work.” Their salaries are not tied to the outcomes of their graduating classes. The federally-backed student loan scheme does not take this into account. As a result, the cockroaches have all the incentive in the world to keep admitting sub-par and borderline applicants.

Third Tier Dung Heap: University of Arkansas-Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law

Tuition: Arkansas residents attending this trash pit on a full-time basis will be charged $10,565 in tuition, for the 2012-2013 school year. Out-of-state, full-time law students will be hit with a tuition bill of $23,160 - for the current academic year. Fees add another $1,612 to the price tag.

Total, Estimated Cost of Attendance: On this same page, the commode also furnished a total budget, for various situations. Full-time, in-state students who are living off-campus will incur costs of $26,728 – according to the toilet. For non-resident, full-time, off-campus law students, total expenses will amount to $39,377, based on this document.

Keep in mind that ABA-accredited dung piles calculate living costs on a nine-month basis, and not the full calendar year. Using the full twelve months, we reach the following, more accurate figures: Arkansas residents who live off campus will face a total COA of $31,091 – for the current year – while out-of-state, full-time, off-campus students will be slapped with an estimated $43,686 in total costs.

Ranking: Do you have your little heart and mind set on being a lawyer at any cost, lemming?! US “News” & World Report lists the Univer$iTTTy of Arkan$a$ William H. Bowen Sewer of Law as the 119th greatest, most amazing and wondrous law school in the entire United States! In fact, it shares this particular ranking with the following seven schools: Drexel; Howard; Stetson, University of Akron; University of Maine; and Vermont Law School. What a prestigious institution, huh?!?!

Employment “Placement” Data: Since this public school did not provide employment placement info, we head to Law School Transparency for the figures. Check out this disclaimer from LST:

Caution: University of Arkansas - Little Rock has refused our repeated requests to make its Class of 2011 NALP Report available for public consumption. To show what this school chooses to hide, LST has created an imitation report when we have suitable data from other sources, including the ABA, U.S. News, and the school's website. (Sections that are shown in dark gray represent data the school possesses in its NALP report but has not shared.) Schools receive these reports in June for the graduating class from the prior year. We strongly encourage accepted students to ask the school to release its complete NALP report before making a decision to attend.” [Emphasis mine]

Relying on other sources, LST has determined that only 95 out of 150 grads – from the JD Class of 2011 – obtained full-time jobs, where bar passage was required. That represents 63.3% of the cohort. Furthermore, only 85.3 percent of the class was employed, within nine months of graduation. The listed median starting salary was $50,000, and the mean stood at $53,816.  Recognize that these figures do not include unemployed grads or those who did not furnish their income to the toilet.

Average Law Student Indebtedness: USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the UALR Law Class of 2011 who incurred debt for law school - as $63,334. Plus, 85 percent of this toilet’s 2011 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that these figures do not include interest that accrues on the outstanding balance, while the student is enrolled in school.

Journal Opportunities:

“The Arkansas Journal of Social Change and Public Service is a vehicle for identifying and addressing the pressing needs of our society. It examines issues lying at the intersection of policy, public interest, academia, and the law, raising awareness of topics insufficiently examined in traditional scholarly publications.”

Yes, imagine how thoroughly impressed legal employers will be, when they see this journal experience on your resume! Hell, they might even kick down your front door, grab you by your shirt collar, and throw big-ass sacks of money at you – in order to land your services. [Note: nothing of the sort will happen, as your resume and cover letter will likely be tossed into the shredder the moment that it is received.]

The Public Toilet is Seeking a New Dean:

“Dean Search Announcement

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the William H. Bowen School of Law.”

Hell, Third Tier Drake wouldn’t publish such a TTTT announcement on its website. Maybe, the commode ought to post this on Craig’s List. Take a look at this comical portion:

“Candidates should have a J.D. degree, a distinguished record of professional achievement, and a demonstrated capacity for effective administration, successful fundraising, intellectual leadership, and collaboration in a legal academic setting. Candidates should manifest strong and effective communication skills.”

Conclusion: The Univer$iTTTy of Arkan$a$ William H. Bowen Sewer of Law is a pathetic waste heap. You do not need to incur an additional $70K-$100K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, for a chance to practice rural toilet law. Remember, this supposed “public, non-profit” does not publish employment data online. Yes, it is a real bastion of integrity and ethics, right?!?!  That alone ought to tell you that the school is not proud of its product or results. Plus, when a school openly posts for a new dean, you KNOW that the “institution of higher learning” is a piece of trash. Avoid this cesspool at all costs.

Profiles in Pitiful “Logic”: Luke Bierman, “Law Professor” at Northeastern University

Another Rodent Posts an Opinion Piece - Without Bothering to Rely on Any Facts:

On December 5, 2012, Dumbass wrote a Huffington Post article labeled “Deconstructing the Law School Deconstructionists.” Take a look at the bastard’s condescending tone:

“Jobless graduates are a grave concern to legal educators, and their heightened numbers warrant serious attention. Unfortunately, the consideration being paid is more often superficial than serious. Especially when American law schools make such a ready stock villain - painted, as they often are, as greedy institutions thoughtless about their students' futures, wed to the Socratic Method of teaching devised in the late 19th century, and generally out of touch with the needs of the modern legal profession.

It makes for great copy. I pity those who buy into it, however, for at least two reasons. First, the journalistic zeal to tell a juicy story about the prospects of legal graduates has too often crossed the line into inaccurate fear mongering. Take a recent news article that quoted an estimate from the Bureau of Labor Statistics claiming that only 74,000 new lawyer jobs would open from 2010-20. The reporter did not let the fact that 75,000 new law graduates have already found work since 2010 lead her to the obvious conclusion that the BLS's numbers were wrong. Instead, the reporter suggested another interpretation: that not a single new legal job would be created for the next seven years. And that's simply preposterous.

The second shame behind popular coverage of this issue is that it entirely ignores an important part of the story: the response of forward-thinking law schools. Rarely if ever do the critiques acknowledge what many creative and thoughtful legal educators, students, lawyers, and clients know - transformative change in legal education is underway.”

Luke, have you heard of legal process outsourcing, ABA “Ethics” Opinion 08-451, automation, or predictive coding?!?! What makes you believe that U.S. law firms are going to return to hiring higher-wage, American lawyers when the economy improves?! The reality of the situation is this: it does not matter if some law schools are providing their students with more clinics and pro bono/public service internships, if the overall U.S. lawyer job market is contracting. Legions of these students will never practice law - due to the glut of attorneys in this nation. Plus, notice how this dishonest snake conflated legal jobs with overall employment.

Further Deconstructing the Pig’s Weak Analysis:

Paul Campos posted an entry, on February 17, 2012, under the title “The message.” Read this excerpt:

“Contrary to the disturbing things you may have read in the New York Times, legal education is actually changing in all sorts of wonderful ways, which are making our students far more practice-ready upon graduation.

There aren't enough jobs.

Contrary to the disturbing things etc., legal scholarship has entered a golden age, and is producing all sorts of wonderful insights regarding how to make The Best Legal System in the World even better.

There aren't enough jobs. [Emphasis in original, but not in bold]

From the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, via the Occupational Outlook Handbook entry for Lawyers:

“Job Outlook Employment of lawyers is expected to grow by 10 percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Competition for jobs should continue to be strong because more students are graduating from law school each year than there are jobs available. [Emphasis mine]

For $ome rea$on, Cockroach Luke Bierman “forgot” to mention this segment.

The Rat’s Background:

The following excerpts are from Bierman’s school bio:

“Professor Bierman oversees the School of Law’s innovative curriculum, including the Cooperative Legal Education Program, clinics and Legal Skills in Social Context, ensuring students are comprehensively prepared for careers as attorneys meeting the challenges of 21st century legal practice.”

What in the hell constitutes “Legal Skills in Social Context”?!?! Does this program include training in the following areas: document review; collecting unemployment; applying for Food Stamps; customer service; insurance sales; etc.? Here is the final paragraph:

“Professor Bierman is a frequent lecturer and commentator about corporate governance reform, fiduciary responsibility and ethics, and justice reform. He was a member of the board of directors of the Council of Institutional Investors, where he co-chaired the policies committee. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute.” [Emphasis mine]

It is uncanny how many of these “legal educator” pigs are alleged experts in matters of corporate governance and ethics! $omehow, these academic criminals do not feel that these principles apply to their own filthy industry.

Conclusion: Luke Bierman is a liar. He did not cite to any hard data, to support his $elf-$erving opinion. Remember, these idiots pride themselves on “training people how to think like lawyers.” When someone does not bolster their argument with actual facts or evidence, it weakens their case. If this cretin fails to do so, with regards to his specific industry, how is he going to prepare others to practice law?

In the end, “law professors” and deans do not give one damn about their current students and recent graduates. The pigs are paid up front, in full - while YOU, the student, will be left paying for your decision, for the next 25-30 years. You will bear the full burden, while the academic hustlers incur NONE of the risk. What a great $y$tem, huh?! Luke Bierman has a DIRECT, FINANCIAL INTEREST in making sure that people continue to enroll in law school, even though the job market is glutted.  He will say anything to keep the gravy train rolling along.  Just don't expect the tool to back up his case with actual hard facts or data.

Profiles in Academic Parasitism: Claudio Grossman, Dean of American University Washington College of Law

Self Interested Letter to the Editor:

On November 9, 2012, the Washington Post published Cockroach Claudio Grossman’s letter to the editor. His drivel was labeled “The case for a law degree.”  Here is a portion of that garbage:

"The value of a legal education in this economic climate is a worthy topic. However, in its Nov. 4 Magazine article, “The Case Against Law School,” The Post focused on a single employment statistic that is grossly misleading and relied on a number taken from only one of 16 primary employment categories collected by the American Bar Association.

A legal education is important preparation for a wide array of career choices, including employment in highly competitive jobs and fellowships in legislative and political offices, in federal agencies, in the many public-interest, trade-association, corporate offices and international organizations in and around Washington." [Emphasis mine]

There is a GLUT of attorneys, in the United States. Gro$$man tacitly acknowledges this fact, in his letter. You don’t see medical or dental school faculty arguing “We provide our students and grads with a wide array of career choices.” Those professions limit the number of slots, in order to ensure that their respective grads will be able to practice in their chosen field.

Gross Pig conveniently “forgot” to mention that federal - as well as local and state - agencies are not hiring much, at this time. Plus, such entities will likely go with experience bureaucrats and connected applicants, not the typical law grad. The same situation applies for non-profits, corporate offices and international organizations. This academic pied piper should look up the term “austerity.” Private industry has been pushing for a leaner workforce - for decades. They are not about to invest in new U.S. employees now - even those armed with extensive educations.  After all, such workers may expect a decent wage.

Average Law Student Indebtedness for American University: US “News” & World Report lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the American Univer$ity WaShington Commode of Law Class of 2011 who incurred debt for law school - as $151,318. This represents the third highest debt total, among all ABA-accredited dung heaps. Fully 80 percent of this toilet’s 2011 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that these figures do not include interest that accrues on the outstanding balance, while the student is enrolled. $omehow, the academic sociopath does not feel the slightest embarrassment about asking YOU - the applicant and student - to take on such monstrous levels of NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, for HIS benefit.

The Swine’s Extravagant Salary:

Could there be a personal motive for Grossman to write such tripe, in a public forum? Is it possible that he his DIRECT, financial interest in the matter has affected his judgment?!?!

Gro$$man’s Income for 2010: Scroll down to page 18 of the 2010 Form 990, for Employer ID No. 53-019659, to check out the academic thief’s loot. Claudio Grossman made $455,496 in TOTAL COMPENSATION, as dean and “professor” – for the tax year ending April 30, 2011. That amount signals a mere compensation increase of $7,826 for the sewer rat. I suppose that his fellow financial criminals feel that we should be in awe of the confidence man, for exercising such restraint in the face of a contracting job market. In contrast, MANY recent JDs would gladly run across rush hour, freeway traffic for a chance to make an extra $7,000. Cockroach Grossman received $421,903 in base compensation, plus $33,593 in “estimated amount of other compensation from the organization and related organizations.”

The Bastard’s Compensation for 2009: Scroll down to page 19 of American University’s 2010 Form 990, to look at how well this “educator” made out, for the tax year ending April 30, 2010. Claudio Grossman made $447,670 in TOTAL COMPENSATION, as dean of the commode – for the tax year ending April 30, 2009. That figure represents an increase of $20,469 over the prior year, for this devil - even though the job market for recent JDs continued to shrink. Cockroach Grossman received $414,126 in base compensation, plus $33,544 in “estimated amount of other compensation from the organization and related organizations.” That is a tidy sum.

Gross Pig’s Compensation for 2008: Head over to page 33 of American University’s 2009 Form 990, and take a peek at how well this pig is doing, as an active participant in the “higher education“ scam. Dean Claudio Grossman made $427,201 in TOTAL COMPENSATION – for the tax year ending April 30, 2009. Yes, that is correct. Claudio the Pig received $381,441 in base compensation; $13,833 in other compensation; $22,999 in deferred compensation; and $8,928 in nontaxable benefits.

In sum, the rat receive $1,330,367 in TOTAL COMPENSATION - for these three years combined.  Do you honestly believe that this ass-wipe is a neutral bystander on this topic?!?! According to his school bio, Gro$$man has been dean of the law school since 1995. Furthermore, his area of supposed “expertise” is international law and human rights. You can’t make this stuff up, people. Apparently, in his mind, saddling people with an average of $151,318 in average law student indebtedness does not fall under exploitation.

Conclusion: The Washington Post should have included the bastard’s excessive salary, in its little disclaimer at the end of the article. If some corporate drone was paid a huge income, to spew forth the nonsense that his employer - which was polluting the rivers or manufacturing flame resistant children’s pajamas that instantly go up in flames - was “serving the community,” would you buy his lies?!?! Of course not. You would immediately recognize that the shill was being paid to utter such garbage. In the final analysis, the facts and figures keep slapping the law school pigs in the snout - and the swine have no real argument. They simply rely on rhetoric, vague anecdotes and meaningless platitudes. I wonder which side is more persuasive.

In the final analysis, the law school fraudsters DO NOT GIVE ONE DAMN about the students or recent grads.  The swine earn excessive salaries for minimal "work," i.e. relying on old notes and the teacher's edition to rehash ancient cases.  Of course, they are paid up front, in full - while you are left to repay your NON-DISCHARGEABLE student loans, for the next 25-30 years.  The pigs bear none of the risk.  Their compensation levels are not tied to job outcomes of recent graduating classes.  What a great $y$tem, huh?!?!  This helps explain why cockroaches such as Claudio Grossman will do and say anything, in order to perpetrate the scam.

Profiles in Vile Academic Self Interest: Lawrence Mitchell, Dean of Case Western Reserve University School of Law

The Pig Sticks His Hoof in His Mouth:

On November 28, 2012, the New York Times published an opinion piece from Lawrence Mitchell, dean of second tier sewer Ca$e We$TTern Re$erve Univer$ity Sewer of Law; the commode is currently rated as the 67th greatest, most phenomenal law school in the country, by US “News” & World Report. The op-ed was entitled “Law School is Worth the Money.” Keep in mind that this charlatan is not the one taking out $100K-$130 in NON-DISCHARGEABLE loans, for the mere opportunity to enter the GLUTTED legal “profession.” Take a look at this weak opening:

“I’m a law dean, and I’m proud. And I think it’s time to stop the nonsense. After two years of almost relentless attacks on law schools, a bit of perspective would be nice.

For at least two years, the popular press, bloggers and a few sensationalist law professors have turned American law schools into the new investment banks. We entice bright young students into our academic clutches. Succubus-like, when we’ve taken what we want from them, we return them to the mean and barren streets to fend for themselves.

The hysteria has masked some important realities and created an environment in which some of the brightest potential lawyers are, largely irrationally, forgoing the possibility of a rich, rewarding and, yes, profitable, career.

The starting point is the job market. It’s bad. It’s bad in many industries. “Bad,” in law, means that most students will have trouble finding a first job, especially at law firms. But a little historical perspective will reveal that the law job market has been bad — very bad — before. To take the most recent low before this era, in 1998, 55 percent of law graduates started in law firms. In 2011, that number was 50 percent. A 9 percent decline from a previous low during the worst economic conditions in decades hardly seems catastrophic. And this statistic ignores the other jobs lawyers do.” [Emphasis mine]

I’m sure that many child molesters, drug pushers corporate raiders are also proud of their “work,” Dumbass. Should we use their conviction as “proof” that they are engaged in a good cause?!?! By the way, YOU are making a very nice salary by perpetrating this sick $y$tem. You cannot be objective in this area, tool. It’s comical that this pig wrote an op-ed for the nation’s premier newspaper, which kicked the hell out of the law school industrial complex - via a sharp, informed series by David Segal.

For $ome rea$on, Cockroach Lawrence Mitchell “forgot” to mention some of the jobs that many JDs and lawyers perform: tend bar, stock shelves, run cash registers at electronics stores, sell insurance, wait tables, serve pizza, pour lattes, etc. I wonder why this dean did not mention such outcomes. By the way, citing to the fact that the lawyer job marker has been anemic for over a decade does not help your pathetic “case.” The ball-less weasel is essentially arguing “Who cares if your future is ruined by this decision? The job market was nearly as bad 13 or 14 years ago.”  Later on, Mitchell argues that the growth rate in the attorney field is healthy, since the industry's outlook is about average.

On October 31, 2012, the Washington Post Magazine published an article from Elizabeth Lesly Stevens, under the headline “Will Law Students Have Jobs After They Graduate?”   The following portion shows that Mitchell cannot rely on BLS data to bolster his message:

“The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts 73,600 new lawyer jobs from 2010 to 2020. But just three years into that decade, about 132,757 new lawyers have hit the job market.” [Emphasis mine]

The Swine’s Background:

“Dean Mitchell is the author of The Speculation Economy: How Finance Triumphed Over Industry (2007) (awarded ForeWord Magazine’s 2007 Gold Medal for the Best Book in Business and Economic and the 2009 “IPPY” Silver Medal for Finance/Investment/Economics), and Corporate Irresponsibility: America’s Newest Export (2001), among other books and publications. Before joining the faculty at Case Western Reserve, he was the Theodore Rinehart Professor of Business Law at The George Washington University Law School, where he taught for 20 years and, was founding Chair and Executive Director of the Center for Law, Economics & Finance at GW. Professor Mitchell has written extensively on matters of corporate governance, law, finance, financial history, and ethics. A graduate of Williams College and Columbia University Law School, Professor Mitchell practiced corporate law in New York from 1981 to 1987.” [Emphasis mine]

Cockroach Lawrence Mitchell sure knows how to set one up on a tee for his opponents. This ass-clown has published several books on corporate irresponsibility and financial greed, yet the hypocrite cannot see that the law schools are engaging in similar conduct?!?!

Tuition at CWRU Law for 2012-2013: A full-time law student at this private stench pit will be charged $44,500 - for the current school year. This figure does not include associated fees or living expenses into account. What a great bargain, huh?!?!

Average Law Student Indebtedness for Case Western: US “News” lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the CWRU Law Class of 2011 who incurred debt for law school - as $98,900. Fully 90 percent of this toilet’s 2011 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that these figures do not include interest that accrues on the outstanding balance, while the student is enrolled. Apparently, this well-off bastard has no qualms about asking YOU - the applicant and student - to take on such monstrous levels of NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, for HIS benefit.

Conclusion: Lawrence Mitchell is a prime example of badass author Upton Sinclair’s principle: “It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!” Ask yourself the following question: Would you buy a used car from this salesman? If you would not borrow $5,000 to $15,000 on a loan that you could walk away from, then why in the hell would you take out $100K-$130K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt because of this rodent’s meaningless rhetoric?!?!

Miserable, Fourth Tier Waste Heap: Mississippi College School of Law

Tuition: Full-time law students at this private toilet were charged $27,780 in tuition - for the 2011-2012 school year. The trash pit does not provide updated costs for the current academic year. However, the pigs claim that tuition rates will remain the same for the three years that one is enrolled.

When you add in fees, the total increases to $30,350. For $ome rea$on, the school estimates that books will be $600 cheaper for spring semester than in autumn. Furthermore, these pigs charge $280 in parking, plus $100 for a snack bar fee. Apparently, parking in Jackson, Mississippi must be at a premium.

Ranking: At such prices, this school must have a stellar reputation, right?!?! According to US “News” & World Report, Mississippi College Sewer of Law is ranked in the putrid fourth tier of American law schools. Of course, Bob Morse now refers to this group as “Rank Not Published.” Their mothers must be very proud.

Employment “Placement” at Graduation: Since these bitches and hags did not have the balls - or integrity - to publish its employment placement data, we need to head to another source for this data. According to the school overview from USN&WR, “Of the 2010 graduates, 43.5 percent were employed at graduation.” What an impressive rate, huh?!?! As if you needed it pointed out to you, this source states that this figure is in the “low“ category.

Average Law Student Indebtedness: US “News” lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the Mississippi College JD Class of 2011 who incurred debt for law school - as $110,169. In fact, 76 percent of this garbage can’s 2011 class took on such filthy debt. Remember that these figures do not include interest that accrues on the outstanding balance, while the student is enrolled.

Administrator and Faculty Salary Info: Let’s see how well the pigs are making out - at the expense of the students, graduates and taxpayers. Scroll down to Part VII - Compensation, of the 2011 Form 990 for Employer ID No. 64-0303086, so that you can access this information.

The following figures represent TOTAL COMPENSATION for the tax year ending June 30, 2011: James Rosenblatt “earned” $212,021, as dean of this toilet; Matthew Steffey raked in $196,578, for teaching civil rights and criminal law; Patricia Bennett, “professor of law” and director of Litigation and Dispute Resolution Center, made $180,480; and Angela Mae Kupenda received $164,403. Who says that “higher education” doesn’t pay off handsomely, for some?!?!

Public Service Emphasis: The description below comes from the school:

“Public Service Law Center

The Public Service Center Law Center exposes students to a wide range of public service opportunities that not only enhance their legal education experience, but also promote a commitment to helping underserved people and communities.

MC Law understands that “success” is measured in more than dollars and cents. One of the center’s goals is to inspire more students to explore careers or volunteer opportunities in public interest law. Whether it’s representing the elderly in filing Social Security claims or finding legal remedies to environmental disasters in the making, public interest law is about attorneys making a positive difference.”

When legal and non-law employers see a bunch of public service projects on your resume, they immediately think “Loser.” From their perspective, if you cannot find paid employment, then why should they extend you an offer? Low-ranked commodes often bill themselves as “public service oriented.” Why would anyone with a brain stem want to incur an additional $115K-130K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt for a chance to help poor people file SSI claims?!?!

Conclusion: Mississippi College Sewer of Law is an overpriced, pathetic dung heap. If you are even considering this garbage pit, ask yourself the following question: if you were an employer, would you hire someone with a TTTT law degree from this in$TTTTiTTTTuTTTTion? In the final analysis, you should not attend this commode - even if the school provides you with a full tuition scholarship. If you are upset with your dead-end job, remember that you will NOT almost certainly be worse off by incurring an additional $120K+ in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt - while pissing away three years of your life.

Profiles in Putrid Waste: Federal Pig Judge William Joseph Martinez

Puto Martinez Seeks Free Labor For One Year:

On November 21, 2012, Salon published a piece from Paul Campos, which was entitled “A judge searches for free labor.” Check out the following portion:

“William Martinez, a federal judge in Denver, is currently using the site to solicit applications for a standard year-long clerkship in his chambers.

While the requirements for the job look quite ordinary – excellent academic credentials required, two or more years of legal practice experience preferred – the position’s salary is not. More precisely, this job features a salary of zero: “This position is a gratuitous service appointment,” the posting announces, while going on to make clear that the successful candidate will waive any claim to salary, benefits or any other compensation, and that he or she can be fired at any time, for any reason, or no reason, during the course of the year-long appointment.

It gets better: Although Judge Martinez isn’t going to pay the successful applicant, and reserves the right to fire this person arbitrarily at any time, the judge is asking whoever takes the job “to morally commit to the position for one year.” (In other words, don’t think for a moment it’s OK to quit this non-paying job just because a paying job comes along.) As an added extra bonus, the posting states unequivocally that “there is no possibility of the position turning into a paid position with Judge Martinez.” [Emphasis mine]

Yes, after spending 20 years in formal “education” facilities, you then have the opportunity to work for a federal pig, but without any compensation! Isn’t that wonderful?!?! Of course, you also need to excel academically during law school - before you can be considered for this “prestigious“ position.

Campos delivers one more right cross to this porker’s snout, in his conclusion:

“Beyond the legalities, there’s the moral question of whether this is acceptable behavior. For high government officials to prey on the desperation of the lost generation in this way is a sorry sight – especially when one considers the structural effects of this kind of thing. Obviously, creating a class of prestigious door-opening jobs that don’t feature actual salaries is just another way of ensuring that only the children of the rich have access to such jobs.

Which brings me to the mordant punch line: Before becoming a federal judge, William Martinez was a lawyer for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.”

The Bastard’s Background:

Back on December 21, 2010, the Denver Business Journal’s Mark Harden posted a story labeled “Martinez confirmed as Colorado federal judge.” Towards the end of the article, we gain a little insight into Pig Martinez:

“Born in Mexico, Martinez emigrated with his parents as a small child. He holds undergraduate degrees in environmental engineering and political science from the University of Illinois and a law degree from the University of Chicago.”

Presumably, this rat comes from a well-off, connected Mexican family. How many poor immigrants attend top U.S. colleges and law schools?!

The following biographical summary was supplied by the Federal Judicial Center:

“Given name at birth: Jose Guillermo Martinez Escalante”

Apparently, this ass-clown decided that it would be best to Anglicize his Hispanic birth name at age 20. I guess he figured that the owners would rather hire a transparent sell-out.

The Pueblo Chieftain published Robert Boczkiewicz’s piece “One of Colorado's vacant federal judge posts filled,” back on February 26, 2010. Read the following brief passage:

“Martinez, 55, immigrated with his family as a young boy to this country and is the first member of his family to go to college.

He specializes in employment and civil rights law at a Denver law firm where he is a partner.” [Emphasis mine]

Now, that is comedy gold! This supposed employment and civil rights attorney now demands free, committed labor for one full year - as a federal judge/bag-man. What a beacon of integrity, huh?!?!

Conclusion: William Joseph Martinez is a filthy swine. This sewer rat expects highly-educated, accomplished attorneys and JDs to bust their ass for him, for free! The bastard is exploiting desperate law grads. I recognize that judges provide the appearance of “fairness” and a “separate branch” of government. In the end, the political class serves the owners’ interests. However, even this development comes across as an atrocious bowel movement. Then again, the devils are starting to blatantly reveal their intentions.  Do any of you lemmings still have your heart set on going to law school?!?!

Profiles in Judicial Fecal Matter: Mary Lane Mikva, Well-Connected Pig and Cook County Circuit “Judge”

On November 12, 2012, the Wall Street Journal published Joe Palazollo’s piece “Judge Bounces Two More Consumer Fraud Lawsuits Against Law Schools.” Check out the following excerpt:

“Cook County Circuit Judge Mary Mikva dismissed the lawsuits against John Marshall and Kent on Friday. She ruled from the bench, and later issued one-page written orders.

According to lawyers who attended the hearing, Judge Mikva said she agreed with the reasoning of her colleague, Judge Neil Cohen, who in September spiked a lawsuit filed by graduates of DePaul University College of Law.

In that case, Judge Cohen said it wasn’t DePaul’s fault that the graduates entered the workforce during “the height of a tumultuous and deep recession that seriously affected employment in the legal profession.” [Emphasis mine]

At least, the cockroach didn’t bother writing a lengthy opinion, in a ridiculous attempt to justify her decision. Apparently, law schools can claim high employment “placement” rates - even though most recent graduates find jobs through their own efforts - and prospective students should know better than to believe these “institutions of higher education.”

Quit Blaming the Recession, Idiot:

On June 13, 2010, Brian Tamanaha posted a Balkinization entry entitled "Wake Up, Fellow Law Professors, to the Casualties of Our Enterprise."  Take a look at the following excerpt:

"This dismal situation was not created by the current recession—which merely spread the pain up the chain into the lower reaches of elite schools. This has been going on for years."

Of course, "law professors," deans, shills and "judges" continue to blame the current job market on the 2008 crash.  If the legal sector does not improve ten years from now, these bitches and hags will keep relying on this as an excuse.  $omehow, the bastards don't cut their admissions drastically - even though they are aware of the glutted attorney field.

The Pig’s Background:

"Judge Abner Mikva holds the distinction of having served at a high level in all three branches of the federal government, and in state government as well. He was elected in 1956 to the first of five consecutive terms in the Illinois General Assembly where he sponsored fair employment practices legislation, open housing legislation, and labored to overhaul the Criminal Code. He was elected to the U.S. Congress in 1968 and served for five terms as a member of the Judiciary Committee and then the Ways and Means Committee.

Appointed by President Carter to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Abner served for fifteen years, the last four as Chief Judge. In 1994 Judge Mikva resigned from the bench to become White House Counsel to President William J. Clinton.”

Mary Mikva’s father is former congre$$man Abner Mikva. Do you think that this bitch ever had a problem breaking into the legal field?!?!

“[Abner] Mikva has own connection to the Supreme Court, as well, having clerked there for Justice Sherman Minton during the 1951-52 term after his graduation from the University of Chicago.

There’s a family link, too, as Mary Lane Mikva, one of Mikva’s three daughters, clerked for Brennan during the 1981-82 term. (She’s now a circuit court judge in Chicago.)”

Take a look at the dung beetle’s court bio:

“Legal Experience: Until she became a judge, Ms. Mikva was a partner in the firm of Abrahamson Vorachek & Mikva, where she represented plaintiffs in employment related claims. She was also a partner in the firm of Seliger and Mikva, where she represented plaintiffs in employment claims, including several large class actions. Before becoming a plaintiffs’ attorney, Ms. Mikva was in the Law Department of the City of Chicago, defending employment claims and also worked in the Appeals Division. Early in her career, Judge Mikva was a criminal defense attorney in the firm of Patrick A. Tuite & Associates.”

For $ome rea$on, this butter cow “forgot” to mention her influential father. Hell, she even listed her personal interests of riding her bike, traveling and the local theater. Apparently, Mary feels or believes that she made it on her own efforts.

Conclusion: Do not expect a political solution to the problem of crushing student debt. “Judges” typically serve as bagmen to industry. These pets are nothing more than politicians in black dresses. These puppets/public $ervant$ do not have the balls to go against big business interests. No one should be surprised by this decision from a Crook County “judge” - especially one with such extensive connections in Chicago politics. The schools will cite to this decision as “proof” that the cases against them had no merit. Furthermore, in a sick twist, the commodes will use these dismissals to “show” law students that “the system works.”

Second Tier Horse Droppings: University of Oklahoma College of Law

Tuition and Fees: Oklahoma residents attending this public stall on a full-time basis will be charged $19,763 in tuition and fees, for the 2012-2013 school year. Out-of-state, full-time law students will be slapped with a bill of $30,188. What an affordable, public “legal education,” huh?!?!

Ranking: At these prices, this institution MUST have one hell of a reputation, right?! Actually, US “News” & World Report ranks the UniversiTTy of Oklahoma Commode of Law as the 82nd greatest, most prestigious and amazing law school in the land. In fact, the toilet shares this rating with the following six law schools: Catholic University of America; Michigan State; Rutgers-Newark; Seattle University; SUNY Buffalo; and the University of Oregon. Their mothers should be very proud.

Supposed Employment Placement and Salary Statistics: The pile of manure claims that 85.9 percent of its Class of 2011 landed full time employment, within nine months of graduation, i.e. 140 members out of 163 total graduates. Under the heading Employment Type, 85 grads reported working in law firms. Fully 50 grads ended up in solo practice or in firms of 2-10 attorneys. In contrast, only two JDs landed in firms of 251-500 people, and a single graduate worked for a firm with more than 500 employees.

The overall mean salary for the 140 graduates reporting full-time employment stood at $56,454. The same figure for those working in government was $47,008; those in business earned an average of $55,801. For $ome rea$on, the school does not take unemployed and part-time employees into consideration. I wonder if that would lower the numbers. What a great return on investment - for giving up three years of your life and full-time income, while taking on more student debt!

Average Law Student Indebtedness: USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the UniversiTTy of Oklahoma JD Class of 2011 who incurred debt for law school - as $74,809. Fully 70 percent of this outhouse’s 2011 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that these figures do not include interest that accrues on the outstanding balance, while the student is enrolled.

Pathetic Law Journals: As a student at this eliTTe insTTiTTuTTion, you will have the opportunity to write onto the American Indian Law Review.  Check out the summary:

The American Indian Law Review serves as a nationwide scholarly forum for analysis of developments in legal issues pertaining to Native Americans and indigenous peoples worldwide. Adhering to the traditional law review format, the Review offers in-depth articles by legal scholars, attorneys and other expert observers. In addition, the Review offers comments and notes written by student members and editors on a wide variety of Indian law-related topics.

Each year the American Indian Law Review sponsors the American Indian Law Writing Competition, which is open to currently enrolled law students throughout the United States and Canada. The top three entries are awarded cash prizes and the first place entry is published in the Review.”

Law firms and non-legal employers will not be impressed with this “credential” on your resume. But you will also have a chance to become a student editor of the world-renowned Oklahoma Journal of Law and Technology! Take a look at that publication's description:

The Oklahoma Journal of Law and Technology (OKJOLT) is Oklahoma’s first electronic legal publication dedicated to the study of critical issues at the intersection of law and technology. With OKJOLT, the College of Law joins such top ranking schools as Harvard, Stanford and Duke in setting standards for multidisciplinary scholarship. OKJOLT’s electronic-only format provides for rapid turnaround from article submission to publication. Thus, OKJOLT operates under a rolling schedule and updates its website with new and useful research materials as quickly as they are readied for publication.”

Do you honestly think that potential employers are going to give one damn about this line item on your resume or cover letter?!?! Then again, they will notice the name of the school on your diploma. If the HR manager doesn’t toss your application in the garbage at that point, consider that a small victory.

Conclusion: The University of Oklahoma Commode of Law is a garbage heap. You will not be served well by accumulating an additional $80K-$110K in NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt. In the final analysis, these costs are too high for a mere chance to practice law in Texas or Oklahoma. Your career prospects will be further hampered by the overall contracting legal job market.

Loose Bowel Syndrome: Liberty University School of Law

Today, we head to Lynchburg, Virginia, so that we can profile Jerry Falwell’s law school.

Tuition: Students attending this rat-hole on a full-time basis will be charged $33,396 in tuition – for the 2012-2013 school year. When you click on the hyperlink above, you will notice that fees/basic costs add up to another $2,007. In sum, the total cost is $35,403. Note that the technology fee is $642. Hell, are they giving every enrolled victim a fancy laptop?!?!

Total Cost of Attendance: Under “Variable Costs” on the same document, the pigs estimate that living expenses will amount to $16,800. Apparently, the bastards decided to use round numbers. After all, “law professors” love to joke about how “Lawyers are terrible at math.”

Keep in mind that ABA-accredited commodes base living costs on a nine month basis. Seeing that a calendar year is comprised of 12 months, I will provide a more accurate picture of these expenses. Prorating housing, personal costs and travel, this amount increases by $5,000. As such, a first year, full-time student can look forward to a total, estimated COA of $57,203 – for 2012-2013.

Ranking: Based on these big-ass costs, one would expect this school to have a sterling reputation in the legal and academic communities. Well, according to US “News” & World Report, LiberTTTTy Univer$iTTTTy Sewer of Law is ranked in the sordid fourth tier of American law schools. Of course, Pussy Bob Morse now lists the grouping as “Rank Not Published.” Yes, that is one prestigious institution, right?!?!

Embarrassing Employment Placement Rate: The toilet states that 66.3% of its 2011 graduates were employed, within nine months of graduation. Another 28.9 percent of the class was seeking a job, while 4.8% of this cohort was not looking for work. By the way, the school states that were 55 employed graduates – out of 90 JDs. If this is the case, then the “placement” rate – for the LiberTTTTy JD Class of 2011 - is only 61.1 percent. That is quite an accomplishment, huh?!?!

Under the subheading “Employment Type by Industry/Sector,” you will notice that only 50.9 percent of employed grads were reportedly working in law firms. Hell, 18.9% of this cohort was employed in business/industry. Keep in mind that tending bar and selling insurance would fall under this category. Are you still interested in applying to such a cesspool?!

Average Law Student Indebtedness: USN&WR lists the average law student indebtedness - for those members of the LiberTTTTy Univer$iTTTTy JD Class of 2011 who incurred debt for law school - as $66,088. According to this source, fully 94 percent of this dung heap’s 2011 class took on such toxic debt. Remember that these figures do not include interest that accrues on the outstanding balance, while the student is enrolled.

Administrator Pay: In order to see how well the pigs and rats are doing, we head to the 2011 Form 990 for Liberty University Inc., i.e. Employer ID No. 54-0946734. Scroll down to page 17 of this PDF, Part VII – Compensation. No member of the law school faculty is listed among the highest paid employees. However, you will see that Jerry Falwell, Jr. received $409,960 in TOTAL COMPENSATION, for the tax year ending June 30, 2011. As “chancellor” and legal counsel, the dog raked in $371,521 in reportable compensation, plus $38,439 in estimated amount of other compensation from the organization and related organizations.

Further down the same page, Opie Taylor doppelganger Jonathan Falwell – a trustee – “earned” $118,918 in TOTAL COMPENSATION, for the same tax year. No other Liberty “University” trustee earned a dime. That MUST be a mere coincidence, right?!?! Apparently, the swine prefer to keep the money in the family.

Founding Cockroach Jerry Lamon Falwell:

“In 1967, Falwell implemented his vision to build a Christian educational system for evangelical youth. He began with the establishment of Lynchburg Christian Academy, an accredited Christian day school for grades K-12 . In 1971, he founded Liberty University, an accredited Christian university for evangelical believers. In 1985 Falwell announced his goal of 50,000 students.”

This is the same “man” who blamed the September 11th attacks on gays and feminists, in this country. Since evangelical churches are a big fraud and a blemish, it makes sense that this bigot opened a “non-profit university.” Hell, his fellow Chri$tian charlatan, Gordon Marion “Pat” Robertson, did the same with Regent University. That garbage heap is also located in Virginia.
Conclusion: Do not attend this supposedly “Christian” law school – at any cost. The commode was founded in 2004. Additionally, it did not gain full ABA accreditation until 2010. The trash pit is consistently ranked in the fourth tier of U.S. law schools. Look at the employment “placement” figures above, which were reported by Liberty University Sewer of Law. Most legal and non-legal employers are not impressed with a degree from this place. While the law student debt figure may not seem monstrous – in relation to other schools – try paying off $70K-$90K in additional, NON-DISCHARGEABLE debt, on a measly income. Good luck starting a family or buying a home, with those debt chains around your neck. Anyone with a brain stem would not view this as financial “liberty.”

The Washington Post Magazine Notes That There Are Not Enough Lawyer Jobs for the Legions of Recent Graduates

The Article:

On October 31, 2012, the Washington Post Magazine published an article from Elizabeth Lesly Stevens, under the headline “Will Law Students Have Jobs After They Graduate?” Take a look at the following excerpts:

“There are a few other recent statistics that [UC Irvine’s Cockroach Erwin] Chemerinsky and his colleagues at the nation’s law schools — a disproportionate number of which are in or near Washington — might want to bring into sharper focus.

In 2011, more than 44,000 students graduated from the 200-odd U.S. law schools accredited by the American Bar Association. Nine months after graduation, only a bit more than half had found full-time jobs as lawyers.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts 73,600 new lawyer jobs from 2010 to 2020. But just three years into that decade, about 132,757 new lawyers have hit the job market.” [Emphasis mine]

On the third page, check out the following info: “Consider this: Of the 576 who graduated George Washington University this year, 20 percent — 112 — are employed as lawyers only because GWU pays them $15 an hour, up to $525 each week, to do volunteer work. The average indebtedness of GWU’s class of 2011 was $127,360. Trying to adjust, the school trimmed first-year enrollment this fall by 16 percent, to 400.”

Yes, you read that correctly. If you want to be technical, the commode only hired 19.44% of this class, for volunteer work. Keep in mind that “The” George Wa$hington Univer$ity Law $chool is ranked as the 20th best law school in the nation, by US “News” & World Report. If this school must resort to these desperate measures, what are your chances of landing solid legal employment - when you attend a third tier commode or fourth tier trash pit?!?!

Washington Post Also Lists the Most Expensive Law Schools for 2012-2013:

The link is labeled “2012-2013 law school tuition, fees and living expenses.” The magazine relies on figures furnished by the defunct rag known as US “News”. You will notice that UC Irvine is second on the list. The total estimated cost of annual attendance at the currently-unranked toilet will amount to $77,129 for out-of-state students; total COA is a mere $70,809 for California residents. In the main article, Ass-Clown Chemerinsky claims that these immense costs are required for academic “excellence.”

There Simply Are Not Enough Jobs:

On February 17, 2012, Paul Campos posted a blog entry entitled “The message.” This man gets right to the heart of the matter:

“There are a great number of things wrong with legal academia, but in the end the problem is this: There aren't enough jobs. Everything else - the failure to prepare people to practice law, the intellectually vacuous and socially reactionary atmosphere of the law school classroom, the ridiculous publication system, the pernicious rankings, the puerile obsessions with status, the profligate spending etc. etc. - is secondary to the fact that there aren't enough jobs.” [Emphasis mine]

The Job Outlook for Recent JDs Was Dismal Before the Current Recession:

In the article above, Campos cites to an October 3, 2011 Balkin piece from Brian Tamanaha, under the header “Poor Employment Market for Law Grads Predates the Recession.” After proving that the legal job placement rate has been weak for at least one decade, Tamanaha reaches this conclusion:

“Law schools wooing the next crop of incoming students will no doubt use the line that the employment situation is bad now because of the recession, but things will get better when the legal market turns around. And they will tell prospective students that three and a half years between now and their anticipated graduation is plenty of time for the job recovery to take place.

Don't buy it. There is no sign that the legal market will improve. And even if it does, at many law schools one-out-of three or one-out-of four graduates will not get jobs as lawyers.” [Emphasis mine]

These two men have consistently shown than they do not have a mere academic interest in the subject of student debt and the shrinking lawyer job market. A few other “law professors” have looked at this as if this is a hypothetical. However, we are talking about real people’s lives. I know several highly-educated men and women who have told me that they will never own a home or have children. Their staggering student debt loads and low pay are main reasons for this decision.

Conclusion: Vindication feels great. However, legions of current law students and recent JDs are being ruined financially, by the steaming dung piles known as ABA-accredited law schools. The sociopaths who run these highly profitable, “non-profit institutions of higher learning” DO NOT GIVE ONE DAMN about you or your future. They couldn’t care less that you may be unable to ever purchase a house or start a family. After all, these pigs get paid up front, in full - regardless of the job market. You, the recent graduate, will be stuck with the student loan payments - with interest - for the next 20-30 years. In the end, THE ADMINISTRATORS AND FACULTY HAVE A DIRECT FINANCIAL INTEREST IN MAKING PROSPECTIVE LAW STUDENTS BELIEVE THAT THE JOB MARKET WILL RECOVER SHORTLY. Of course, the bastards offer no proof of their assertions. Meanwhile, the financial criminals continue to collectively pump out more than 44,000 grads each year - and others plan to open new law schools.
